Lacrosse boots have been my go-to boots for over 20 years for deer and turkey hunting. When I heard they were coming out with an improved design I had to have the latest, especially since they are made in the USA!
The Alpha Evolution comes in both insulated and non-insulated versions but over the past 6 months I’ve tried the insulated version. Deer season had just finished when they arrived so I took them out on the ice fishing and early season turkey hunting in Michigan. It was frigid out on the hard water but the Primaloft Gold Insulation did what it was supposed to do keeping my toes warm.
The Vibram XS Trek outsole really surprised me with how good of traction I had on the ice. We logged quite a few steps trying to find the fish and it felt like I had a good pair of hiking boots on rather than rubber boots.
The Mossy Oak Country DNA camo pattern was perfect for the turkey woods. Once again the Evolutions were comfortable to hike in and flexible enough for sitting in awkward positions while surrounded by turkeys.
As deer seasons slowly begin to approach I wouldn’t hesitate to gear up with a new pair of Alpha Evolutions to add comfort and success to your hunts.
